Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW

Repairs electronic parts and wiring in point-of-sale lottery equipment. Repairs, disassembles and reassembles hardware equipment returns from the field as faulty. Conducts assembly requirements for inbound equipment from our suppliers before it is dispatched in the field. Performs failure analysis of all equipment including electrical systems, hydraulics, and electronic and computer applications. Work is executed in the bench technician area of our centralized warehouse in a specific warehouse location.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Shows competence in hardware repair with minimal supervision.
  • Proactively engaged in refinement of repair procedures and willingness to draft new procedures as needed.
  • Test the various communication equipment before shipping to repair depot. Commission new communication devices before dispatch to field.
  • Troubleshoot and replace boards or repair all electronics equipment, some at component level.
  • Thorough record keeping for monthly and quarterly reporting to middle and upper management. This includes all repairs, most common issues and new issues from the field.
  • Find and report conflicts between system hardware and software. Escalate based on impact.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment to track and inventory all equipment repairs.
  • Train and assist Customer Service Technicians in maintenance, operation and VSAT installation techniques.
  • Prepare and install equipment for special events such as the State Fair in Springfield, IL.
  • Conduct software updates on the equipment after repair is complete. Support the test lab environment and work closely with the customer to resolve hardware failures in their test environments.
  • Perform all duties of a Customer Service Technician. This requires use of the equipment such as volt/ohm meter, spectrum analyzers, software diagnostics programs, soldering tools, and various other tools.

REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years relevant work experience
  • Must possess a valid driver's license
  • Driving record must be free of DUI/DWI for (3)three-year period prior to employment
  • Candidates should possess valid documentation to establish identity and U.S. employment eligibility. No sponsorship is available for this position.
