Collecting sound data from these buildings informs how to elevate our overall design practice with practical strategies we can share back with our clients and our design teams.

We have excellent summer opportunities for students who wish to gain hands-on experience in an interdisciplinary design firm. Paid summer internships will be 10 - 12 weeks beginning on or before June3, 2024 (some flexibility is available). This position is an opportunity to work with our third-party certifications team to develop credit guidance documents and templates to help project teams achieve credits within the LEED rating system.

In this role you will:
    Gather LEED Online forms and resources
  • Interview certifications and design team members to gather best practices and example deliverables for credit completion
  • Develop guides for how to complete prerequisites and credits with guidance and collaboration from certifications team
You will need to have:
  • Must be part of the "Every Career is a Climate Career" Internship program
  • Undergraduate or graduate student standing in an architecture, planning, engineering, sustainability, landscape architecture, construction administration, or other related program with a sustainability focus
  • Certification as LEED Green Associate or LEED AP with Specialty
  • Familiarity with LEED Online and USGBC's LEED resources
  • Class or work experience applying LEED certification criteria to a project
  • Knowledge of the AEC industry and project delivery processes
  • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent graphic design / diagram and related software skills (i.e., Adobe Suite)
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Self-directed and able to work independently
